For a film that is not posting enough numbers to paddle all the distributors to shores, why would the hero decide to tour theatres? What will be that of great use to the movie’s performance? That’s the doubt one gets after watching Akhil Akkineni’s theatre tours now.
Along with his heroine Nidhie Aggerwal and director Venky, the young Akkineni lad is busy touring various theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to meet the audiences who are watching his ‘Mr. Majnu’. Though the film is not collecting huge at the box office, Akhil has decided to take up this tour. Here goes the reason.
Insiders revealed that it is his third film and he wants to know what audiences are really thinking about him. Perhaps that’s what motivated him to go to theatres and meet them, such that it would build a relationship with them. For a hero to be acceptable in all roles and shades, definitely a relationship with the viewers is quintessential. And seems like Akhil took that seriously.
That’s a good move for sure, and next time he has to make sure that the content will be a bit more engaging.
