People having excess food and willing to donate can leave food in these fridges. Those hungry can take food freely from the refrigerators.
The capacity of refrigerators is 530-litre and are installed Shilparamam and Jubilee check post initially. GHMC plans to expand the installation of fridges in eight other locations shortly and around the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad in future, said Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana IAS.
