Samantha Akkineni has been making some interesting choices post marriage. With big stars not keen on working with a married actress, Samantha is signing up low or medium budget projects lately.
After scoring a big hit with recently released Majili, Sam is gearing up with a concept comedy Oh Baby, which is an official remake of Korean film Miss Granny.
Although Samantha is part of many big hits, she hasn’t scored a hit as the main lead. U Turn got rave reviews, but couldn’t click at the box office.
Therefore, Oh Baby is going to test Samantha’s crowd pulling ability without the help of a male star. There is Naga Shourya playing a brief role in it, but he cannot be considered as a star.
Samantha is looking to take up more female centric movies and Oh Baby’s success will be crucial for her future plans. The film should do well at box office unlike U Turn.
It is all set to release on July 5. Suresh Babu, one of the producers of Oh Baby is releasing the film in Telugu States.
